What is the Invisalign method?
Invisalign is an invisible method of orthodontic treatment which, using thin, clear and removable aligners, promises and – admittedly – restores orthodontic abnormalities, thus, drastically improving the smile that many may hide awkwardly. The above orthodontic procedure remains imperceptible to the patient throughout, without causing any discomfort, physical or aesthetic.
This is a new treatment that improves the health of the teeth and gums, by moving the teeth to their correct positions. Invisalign First is applied to children aged 8-12 years.
It is an effective treatment for children’s developing jaws which straightens their crooked teeth, widens the narrow dental arches and solves the existing problems of crowding, mainly in the anterior areas of the mouth.
With the application of the aligners to children, there is no risk of injury or wounds as with conventional braces, while the risk of their detachment no longer exists. Oral hygiene is also an easy task and the occurrence of caries and gingivitis is significantly reduced.
Invisalign aligners are easily removed by children when eating and brushing. They do not cause difficulty in their daily life (speech, articulation) but in order to be effective they must be worn 21-22 hours daily.
