What is the Invisalign method?
Invisalign is an invisible method of orthodontic treatment which, using thin, clear and removable aligners, promises and – admittedly – restores orthodontic abnormalities, thus, drastically improving the smile that many may hide awkwardly. The above orthodontic procedure remains imperceptible to the patient throughout, without causing any discomfort, physical or aesthetic.
The aligners in the Invisalign method are made based on high-tech digital software and advanced materials and are applied to the teeth, moving them progressively to the desired position.
Invisalign is aimed at adults and teenagers and is the best and aesthetically most acceptable solution for those who need orthodontic treatment but are discouraged by the prospect of wearing conventional “braces”.
Every two weeks, the thin, clear aligners (shaped like a horseshoe, like teeth whitening splints), adapted to move the teeth little by little, are replaced with new ones, which continue to move the teeth for another two weeks, until the next ones are placed to straighten the teeth and so on and so forth until the end of the treatment.
Although, Orthodontic treatment is popular for improving the teeth aesthetically and bringing out one’s smile, the basis of every orthodontic intervention is mainly health reasons and not aesthetics.
